Is there a difference between the 97-98 us ITR front seats and the 00-01 ITR front seats? I ask this b/c I picked up some ITR seats at the junkyard and they look legit, but I compared them to my 00 ITR seats and I noticed where the headrest attaches there is an inconsistency between the seats (there's more alcantara on my junkyard set as opposed to my true USDM 00 ITR seats). Anyone who has a picture of their 97 or 98 USDM itr seats can chime in...

 

Any pictures, I think that 97-98 seat are like dark grey and 00-01 are black that's just the only difference. Just my opinion!!

 

The USDM seats are the same for all years.

Someone soiled themselves in the seat on the left, and the seat on the right, is made out of actual soil.

 

What's up with the red stitching along the seat at the lower back and the odd shaped head rests? Never seen that before. Definitely look like fakes...

You just think 97-98 seats are dark gray because there older and more sun faded then the 00-01 ITR seats, I've sat in 2000 ITR's, 1997 ITR's and 1998's and there all exactly the same stock seat. The sun fade does make it look like a totally different shade of black though.

The material "looks" like the real stuff but there shouldn't be horizontal stitching on the seat back bolsters near your kidneys. All USDM ITR seats are the same.

Both of the seats your showing seem to have extra stitching on them. You said the seat thats in the better condition is from your '00 ITR?, Here's a pic from mine, same year......No red cross stitching on the lower back bolster or the four seams where the two sections meet? Did a quick search to confirm and found numerous examples from all years that also do not have the extra stitching.

That said, kind of a long shot that you'd be lucky enough to find a matching fake-me-out seat from a junkyard? Where did you get your "Original" from, does your car have theft history prior to you owning it? What happened to your other one?
