So I'm about to put a JDM front on my 95 gsr and paint it gunmetal grey, but I'm only spending about $2000 on the paint job, which doesn't include the engine bay spray. My integra is currently black and I was wondering, would the car look funky or weird if I didn't spray the bay? Or do you guys think I should just respray the whole car black? Thanks

 

i think black bays look sweet are you painting the jams too

 

To me, black with good maintenance (Easy to swirl mark black) looks best

 

Black engine bay with a gunmetal exterior probably won't look bad. If your car were yellow and you were painting it gunmetal, then you would have an ugly bay

whatever you like man. i painted my old hatch ultra pearl blue, and had a white bay. didn't look too bad when it was cleaned up. i like mix matched bay/body paint. thats just me though. just, nothing that clashes.

 

My car was painted lexus white and I still have a black engine bay. It doesn't look too bad...too much prepping to paint the engine bay...
