94 Civic with mini-me wont start
ive got a 94 cx hatch with d15b8 block and d16z6 head and a p28 ecu. car was running fine for the last few months but i went to start the other morning to go to work and it started just fine but when i started to drive the car just stalled and wouldnt start back up. the check engine light came on...but i cant jump it to find out what the code is.
the fuel pumps not priming and its not getting fuel or spark. checked all the fuses, changed the main relay, swapped out the ecu for another known working ecu. and still nothing. car cranks but just doesnt start.
only thing i can think of is theres a short somewhere or a bad ground...anyone else have any other ideas? thanks

their is a BIG relay under your dash. right their above the pedals. well that is the MAIN relay for everything dizzy fuel pump ecu. this is what i sleep with everynight lol it is my anti theft device. on top of that a Viper alarm.
Anyways my car did that when the clip came a bit loose from the relay and i troubleshooted it for 2 days no spark and no fuel pump and finally found out i didn't press that relay in good.
heres a pic bro,

Is fuse 18, 24, or 31 blown?
Also check whether the important ground wire attached to the thermostat housing is loose, corroded, or disconnected.
What happens when you try to pull CEL codes?

Check whether fuse 18 or 24 is blown. You already checked for a blown fuse 31, right?
Fuse 24 gets power when the key is in ON(II).
Fuse 18 get power when the key is in ON(III) and clutch pedal is pushed down.

ya im gonna check that first thing in the morning. i just dont understand how it can just stop ground out of no where. like the car was running perfectly...oh well
I can't tell you why, only that a bad ground for the main relay and ECU on the thermostat housing is the main cause of the type of problem you are having.
Unplug the connector to the MAP sensor. Turn the key to ON(II), and then check whether you measure 5V on the YEL/RED wire of the wire harness connector to body ground. Do you also measure 5V between the YEL/RED wire and the GRN/WHT wire?
so the fuel pump comes on now and im getting spark...but its still not starting...its like the injectors arent firing...what the f david blaine
What did you do that regained fuel and spark?
Is the CEL ON?
Is the spark bright white/bluish?
Are the plug wires or fuel injector connectors out of order?
Do you measure 12V at the fuel injector connector with the key in ON(II)?
Is the mechanical timing off?

there is a wire on plug A of the ecu, a black/red wire, that my dad was thinking was shorting out. so he tried re-grounding it somewhere else i guess? and everythings turning on fine. no CEL's or anything.
Check the other items listed in my previous post.
with the wire that goes to the thermostat...does it go straight from the ecu to the thermostat? or does it split somewhere? i suck at the whole wiring issue as you can tell haha
Check these items:
1) Is the mechanical timing off? (The timing belt may have slipped. Check whether the cam and crank are synchronized at TDC1.)
2) Is the spark bright white/bluish?
3) Do you measure 12V at the fuel injector connector with the key in ON(II)?
