My perfect alarm?
I don't know what's out there now, so I'll tell you what features I'm looking for.
- Like any standard "Viper" alarm. Make sound and flash lights. Your basic alarm.
- Have the option to be in a "quiet mode." Meaning to flash lights only, or make a very quiet sound. I need that at home so I don't wake up the neighborhood. A strong gust of wind, sometimes trigger my alarm in the past. At work, I want it in "standard mode." No one cares on an open parking lot how much noise it makes.
- Or maybe have a switch to adjust the sensitivity on the fly day-to-day, location-to-location, without going under the dash.
Any recommendations? Or options I can add to a standard alarm to do the above?

Any brand name alarm will work, [DEI, Compustar, Audiovox/Prestige and so on].
If installed and adjusted properly, [impact sensor] wind gusts will not trigger the alarm, heavy gusts may trigger warn a way, gusts strong enough to trigger alarm into full alarming mode will be a much bigger problem then your alarm going off.
A simple SPDT switch could be installed to direct power to the main siren or a smaller, not as loud, siren. 94
