B16 Delsol wont start!!!
Throwing code 15 (ignithion output signal)
i have fuel, spark, fuses are good. car starts and runs for a few seconds when i reset the computer but not long enough to move the car. usualy a wire issue.
Question is, What wires can effect the output signal. what do i need to check?
Thanks in advance.

car runs like normal when it does run for the few sec.

I pulled spark plug wires from dizzy a quarter inch to check for spark

Given that the engine runs for a few seconds, do you eventually lose spark if you continue to crank the engine for 15-20 seconds?
I think you should take the igniter unit out and have it tested at an auto parts store.
You risk blowing your coil by checking for spark this way. Here is a safer method.

still no luck, i have spark and fuel at all times and the car will not start/stay running. timming should be fine cause when the car randomly runs for a few sec. it runs smoothly with no sputtering. any suggestions? anyone?
I assume that, if you reset the ECU and crank the engine for a minute, the CEL does not remain ON and code 15 is no longer recovered from the ECU, right?
The engine running briefly does not rule out a problem with the mechanical timing. Check whether the timing belt skipped a tooth.
You also might want to measure the fuel pressure.

Would timing or fuel pressure lead to ignition out put signal?
Ron, you might want to add to your spark test tutorial that it's a good idea to remove the fuel pump fuse while checking for spark because the engine might be flooded if they crank long enough. Or I've also heard that if you put the gas pedal at WOT then the fuel injectors turn off and the car won't be flooded. Don't know if that's true or not for Hondas.

Well after a full day of driving the car and thinking everything is fixed from changing out the ICM...i was wrong and last night the car wouldnt start again. This time im getting no CEL? still have spark and fuel as well
im wondering if using an LS ignitor plays a part? the car was bogging bad on acceleration around 3k-4.5k rpms

I'm using an ls igniter in my sol currently, and have been for about 3 months with no issues. check your timing? bad ecu? this is an odd problem. I'll take a look at my fsm to see what it says for troubleshooting.
New dizzy and new ecu and still no start!!! Also, when I turn the key to on, the CEL turns off indicating the ecu is throwing a code. But when I jump the ecu to check for codes there are none? And the CEL just stays on...
Check all of your fueses. I just helped a friend with a no start problem yesterday and it turned out to be a fuse. Check all of them, under the hood too.
Are you getting fuel? does the pump prime when you turn the key?

I will check the fuses again but they were all ok and my pump is priming. I'm thinking timing or that the cylinders might be flooded so I'll pull the spark plugs too
