hey..i just painted my hx wheels white and i think the clearcoat is turning yellow for some reason..i dont know if i can fix this..i dont realli wanna sand it down and paint dem again..anyone know if this can be fixed or would i have to sand it down and do it all over again..thanx

 

better get to sanding that clear off...

you either had bad spraying conditions(high humidity, unclean spraying surface, or a reaction with a cleaner), wasnt mixed enough,or you layed it on too fast without letting the proper time for solvent release to occur. or you bought a really crappy clear and its mixture had seperated a little. only way to fix it is to take it off.

 

you're gonna have to do it again. you missed a step or rushed a step. take yoru time as you know these are what you will be riding on. taking your time will make it turn out better and only make you do it once.

 

what kinda clear were you useing?

 

i used the performance wheel coating

 

just use the high temp clear. all i used to paint my wheels were the high temp spray cans.

 

Use Rustoleum paints and clear, it's how I do all my beater wheels.
