Hi, I am the owner of a 1994 Acura Integra LS.

Recently, the car has been turning off/stalling while I'm driving or stopped. A few observations I have made:

1. The engine light comes on when it stops.
2. The car is not overheating, the needle is not even halfway between the H and the C.
3. Car refuses to start back up until I let it sit for about 15 minutes, then it allows me to.
4. Car doesn't seem to discriminate between RPMs or driving style, will consistently last only 15-20 minutes before stopping.
5. Battery light doesn't come on initially.
6. Car has lots of oil and lots of gas.
7. When the car starts back up it cranks right away, I don't have to hold the key.
8. I am able to listen to the radio/leave the battery on while the car refuses to start.

Anybody have any idea whats up with this thing? Thanks a lot in advance for any help you are able to provide.

Might be your ignition coil. Borrow a friend's distributor and see if it fixes this. The coil could stop working when it gets too hot.

Any other guesses? I've heard a tonne of things from fuel pump to spark plugs already.

Well, have you tried what has been suggested?

 

Only posted it a few hours ago, so no I haven't been able to.

I've still got to contact my friend about the distributor, he's at work. Really that's all that has been suggested. I do appreciate your help though.
