I would like to know what size socket I need to replace the knock sensor from a B16. I have large enough sockets, but they are not deep-well and don't really feel like going to the store and buying 5 different sockets and then taking 4 of them back. Thanks for any help!

hahaha thats what i did, i would tell you the size BUT i took a knock sensor off my motor with one size (i forgot the size) then when i replaced it the other sensor was a different size! so i ended up with a bunch of different sizes i forgot which ones since this was like three years ago =[

lemme go check it out though since i have nothing else to do

 

go to autozone, advanced, orielly's...etc....get a open end wrench set for cheap....i got a set of Husky wrenches for under $15....now i have 6mm to 19mm....if your doing work now, youll do work later and need some tools....

 

They do sell O2 sensor wrenches, folks.

is it a 27mm for a sohc too? cause i heard you can use the knock sensor off any obd1 or obd2 car, so im hoping to pick one up at the junkyard

 

Yes all 27mm, 99-01 CRV and 97-01 Prelude are a different style however plug wise but you am still use them.
