this isnt really a oem vs polyurethane thread ... i'm just wondering how much different the car feels with all new bushings. is it a good upgrade? considering the time and cost put into it.
my bushing aren't completely shot, but i could use new ones

What it's worth to you may be different for someone else who tracks their car. Depending on your driving conditions, having new or hard rubber bushings will give the car a harsher ride, degrading ride-comfort.
lol... it should be worth it... but the problem is being lazy and not wanting to install em and people charging an arm and a leg to install em

it will helf responce and all but there will be ALOT more noise and ROAD VIBRATIONS. not worth it, polyurothane bushings dry up and crack fast. but if you want them go for it, the next step is getting rid of the poly and go with spherical baring. that will be strate race car

I agree with the other people with replacing your old worn bushings with a hardened rubber bushing kit you will definitely notice the difference in cornering. Yeah the ride will get slightly stiffer but its worth it
i have a 96 4dr gsr with 185k miles.. obviously all the rubber parts were worn out.
i replace all the bushings with new OEM ITR bushings, it was like a different car. It didnt vibrate at all, tracked perfectly straight, no more wheel hop, it was amazing.
the only thing that i went aftermarket on was the rear LCA's. I wrecked the car and bent them. The only thing i could get in time was skunk2 lcas

why is everyone ******* on the poly bushings.
I've looked for bad reviews and haven't found any.
The only downside that I've read in other blogs and websites was that interior panels were vibrating on harsh roads. It should be a good upgrade for your car.
If you want your car to ride smooth like a Cadillac then I wouldn't recommend it.
I have a Energy Suspension kit for my 91 hatch. I'll be replacing my bushing anytime now. I'll let you know the ups and downs if any...

go search in the RR/AX forum, you will find countless posts of busted severely worn out poly bushings, you will also find alot of explanations about how they bind the suspension and cause all sorts of handling problems.

I don't care for poly bushings based upon my own experiences as well as the pictures and testimonials of a few others here on H-T. I've seen what happens to poly bushings after awhile, and it's not good. Stock rubber bushings last longer, which means replacing them less often. For my daily driven vehicle, longevity of parts is a major factor for me. I don't like replacing parts more often than I have to.

I'd like to see them before I decide to replace my bushings.

i did a cmplete set to my old ef and it felt way better than the old stock ones did. but i did notice a whole lot of rattling and vibration throughout the entire car afterwards. so bad that i had to have my buddy drive around while i crawled around in the car to find the rattles. i only had the car for about 5k after that so i didnt get to experience all of these horror stories. but i caould amagine haw bad they would get. i would never recomend them for a dd. but a track car thats gonna be torn apart and rebuilt on a regular bases, i guess they would be fine.
