Was the engine knocking? wondering why it needs bearings. My mini-me has had a problem since the first few hundred miles. Now has 60k on it and I think it's time to finally swap it. Symptoms lead to head gasket. I did not know you were suppose to re-torque ARP's. Also do you know if you can run 87 octane on the Z6? If I don't run 93 I can hear it ping on the interstate.
Whats involved when putting new bearings in an engine that has a knock? I've only built 1 mini-me from a complete tear down. What I'm asking is does the crank need to be machined?
