CF Hoods BodyKitsNW, CarbonWorx, or Fiber Images
I need to replace my hood and want to get a CF hood. Anyone have an opinion on the quality of BodyKitsNW, Carbon Worx, or Fiber Images? Right now I am leaning towards the BodyKitsNW, they seem to be responsive and build a good quality hood.
TIA

VIS makes a very nice hood from what Ive seen.
Fiberimages is hit or miss.
When Bodykits NW had their own line, those hoods seemed real nice as well. I believe they brought them back recently...they look pretty good.

My FiberImages CF hood is very nice. Good workmanship all around. The CF weave looks nice, and there is a fiberglass frame underneath. No complaints. My friend showed me a FiberImages CF hood for an A4 that is all carbon fiber, including the frame underneath the hood.
I don't have any experience with the other two companies, though, so I cannot offer any comparisons.

Who sells SunnyStyling Hoods? Are they the same quality, better, or just cheaper?

I finally saw some Bodykits NW hoods in person the other night at a local show. A store brought a bunch of them out, and there were a few on cars...anyway point is I got to check out about 6-8 hoods. Every one of them looked great. Weave was really nice, and the way the carbon fiber wraps around the edge is fantastic.
stay AWAY from Fiberimages, of course i have the JDM one, but personally IT sucks, Doesn't fit perfectly, it does fit somewhat, but some areas are a few mm's higher than the fenders, rubs against my bumper, and has some bubbles from whatever they coat it with, also some small dent looking areas.
Spend the extra money and get something good, I'm already planning on buying a different one.... If you want i can send you some pics of mine, and the shittty quality it is.. just email me personally.

Define a good carbon fiber hood -- what brands are you looking at now?. I refuse to spend $1k+ for something spoon has put their name on.
I will let everyone know what I decide and post pictures when the car is done, probably 4 weeks away. Waiting on parts to arrive and need to talk to the body shop. I had 2 people hit me in one week so I am taking the opportunity to get a JDM front end.
I recently got a BodyKitNW CF hood for my prelude after an accident. At first I was skeptical on purchasing the CF hood from BodykitNW since I haven't heard much regarding them but I took the dive. I must say, I am 100% satisfied with the CF hood. I've seen a few CF hoods at car shows and at shops in person and this one that I got is really up there. The quality is very good and the fitment is just almost perfect. The shop that was fixing my car was amazed at the fitment because they knew it was an aftermarket product that I told them to order. Anyway, I've heard of bad and good stories regarding VIS and FiberImages...I think you just have to be lucky enough to get a nice one from a nice batch.
Another thing I want to mention is that the packaging of the BodyKitNW CF is just awesome.

Benen might make the best hood in the world. But the fact that it comes out in a few months does me no good.
I was going to get a VIS front lip for my conversion. But the fact that it is made of fiberglass and is the lowest point on the car made me reconsider.

So... Nobody has replied (yet) to WHY we should stay away from BKNW cf hoods!
I'd like to know why also?
Should we stay away from their cf lips also?

I've only heard and seen good things from BodyKitsNW. He's also extremely knowledgable when it comes to working with these types of materials.
Please elaborate, trooth.
Do you want the lightest? if so VIS isn't your best bet. But the VIS is consistantly the nicest I've seen.
Have not seen a sunny, so I wont comment. I have seen a number of fucked up FI hoods and a mix of BodyKitsNW hoods.
