On wednesday i drove for about and hour and half straight pick some stuff up, about 30 minutes later i went to leave and my car was completely dead. I got it jump started and drove abour 40 minutes then i had to stop for gas, then get jump started again, as soon as i got back home i bought a new battery and put it in. everything has been fine until last night (saturday) I went to work, got off and went to the post office, no issues thus far. when i came out of the post office i turned the car on, no hesitation at all. put it in reverse and as i stopped reversing the cd player turned off and my abs light turned on (car still running) I decided to shut the car off and turn it back on to see if it would do it again and the car wouldn't start, the battery was so dead that the locks wouldn't unlock.
Had a friend come jump me again and drove straight home since it was 12:30 am. got up this morning to see what i could do to fix it and it started right up. i then unhooked the battery cleaned both connections. and then drove to knechts (where i had purchased the battery) to do a battery and alternator check, both were fine.
So i ask you guys what could be going on with my car?? btw it's a 2001 gsr.

its your main relay. ive had this problem before and i would have to get someone to jump my car every time when i turned my car off. when i jumped it it started right away.battery was fine. alternator was fine. if this is your issue and it happens to you i would check your main relay. get a used one from the junk yard or take yours to the local parts store so they can look up the part number.

i would replace your main reay since it can go bad and a of a sudden be good..when i had this problem it waas good all of a sudden then a week later it completely failed on me and i got stuck in the middle of a road. so you might want to check it out.
