Icon2 need help with b16 swap

so i bought a 90 integra ls with a b16 swap for very cheap, but it had some driveability issues. i don't know how you can mess this swap up this badly but he did. most concerns have been repaired, but it still has major wiring problems. first, the only sensors that change anything when unplugged are the ones on the intake manifold. it has 3 coolant temp sensors?? no knock sensor, and only one o2. it gets 10 mpg(running very rich), runs like a bag of ****, and no check engine light. check engine only comes on when the map, tps, or iat are unplugged. it is not an ls or a b16 harness and there's a lot of half *** wierd wire splice's and wire routing going on. does any one have a 90 91 ls harness or have any advice on how i can easily and cheaply fix this. i called around and went to 20 diff junk yards and was unable to find one for a 5 speed.

Sounds like you definitely need to rewire the thing, I did a OBD-0 B16A in my civic hatch. I used my 1989 Civic Si harness and it had every single thing I needed minus Vtec (oil pressure switch, Vtec solenoid, Secondary O2, etc.) so I wired that myself, thats the cheapest way to go. What I recommend is going to www.rywire.com they make plug and play harnesses for all your honda needs.

that's why you always should be concerned when you buy a car that was modified by the previous owner......even if you get it for a great deal....you might end up spending alot of money on it to fix it or just to get it running the way you want...

as for your question....get a helms manual and go over and over all the electrical as much as you can.....electrical issues are the hardest to fix imo, cuz everything can be right but one little thing can screw it all up!!

GL!
