popping sound when turning/braking
I have a 2000 Accord w/ the 2.3. its a 2 door, auto. Now here is the problem: When coming to a stop with the wheels turned to any degree, i feel what seems like a bad cv axle on the driver side. I checked the cv axle and nothing looks messed up. the boots are fine. the popping "feel" is in the brake pedal. anyone have any ideas? i can provide more info if needed. thanks in advance.
edit- it almost feels like the wheel is loose, but it isnt

Mine had the same problem. The boots on the cv's looked fine, but it turned out that the joints inside were f 'd up. Probably because they had 200,000 miles on them. I replaced both cv's and the problem went away.
You might try checking your ball joints too, if you're having steering issues - this was also an issue I had. But if you're feeling it in the pedal, maybe it's the ABS? idk...

i would say it is an off and on thing. i forgot to tell you guys i am quite frequently hard on my brakes. i could change my pads tomorrow and see if that helps.
edit-but then if they were sticking, they would be doing that when i come to a stop w/ the wheels straight. i guess i will just see tomorrow. if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

Cv's. Just change them out. As far as the brakes go, maybe your rotors are all the way through to the teeth behind the actual rotor.(scary!) That would be the only thing I could think of to make a popping sound. You can look at the rotor to see any abnormal wear. (provided you have rims and not steelies) You will feel the cv in your pedal as it is going to reverb. through-out your whole front end.
