Please help me fix my wiring issues! (02 & Fan)
Hi,
I've come a long way on restoring my ED7 and I have now gotten to the wiring issue. I want to wire tuck it but there's two things that won't allow me to, my 02 sensor and my fan connector. The person who swapped the motor in did a very bad wiring job. My fan turns on by a black wire that's grounded at the fuse box, it's not the original wiring from the harness. Also my 02 sensor is a four-wire 02 sensor mounted on the bottom of the header, it is powered by a black wire that comes from the that junction on the driver side shock tower. I've provided pictures to try and help my situation out. Thank you.

This is what turns my fan on, see the black wire with the red thing on it? that's grounded to my fuse box at the passenger side shock tower where the two screws are.

This is the plug for my four-wire 02 sensor.

The black wire in the top picture is what powers my 02 sensor. the second picture is just so you know what junction i'm talking about. (i hope the word actually is junction)

This is what I'm working with.

wow...quite interesting there larry...
first, convert to obd1 with a ecu jumper harness. that will take care of your 4 wire o2 issue since it has a sub harness coming from the jumper harness and runs to the o2.
as for the fan, i'd just simply wire it to a toggle switch inside the car. that way you have complete control over it at all times.

nvm, i know what you mean now. i really don't want to wire up a switch though, i mean it's kind of ghetto to me. and how do i know when it needs to come on? i dont want to get it to overheat and then say oh hey maybe i should turn the fan on now, you know?
