Yesterday I swapped out the pedal assembly in my car due to the old one breaking. Well I dropped the fuse box out of the way so that I could get to some of the bolts. I hooked everything back up back into place and bolted everything back up. When I went to test drive the car the CEL was on, so I moved the carpet out of the way to check what codes it throwing... well its not throwing any codes what so ever. The gauge cluster engine temp and gas gauge doesn't work anymore either neither does my head unit or my dash clock. When I went to use my blinkers well those damn things didn't work either. I ended up leaving and going to to work. On the way to work I noticed some weird smell and didn't know what it was. I pulled over in taco bell and got out of the car and noticed the smoke was coming from my breaks. The pistons have constant pressure the whole time and there's nothing revealing it. I got to my car which was 2 blocks down the road and parked the car. Later on I got into the car to start it.. but the battery was dead. I didn't know why the battery was dead in the first place. I pushed the car back and then push started the car and let it sit to charge the battery. When I go to turn the car off and turn it back on to see if the battery was charged long enough I noticed when I turn the car off and take the keys out that the CEL light stays on and doesn't turn off. I drove the car around to see if the brake problem was still there and it had gone away and the breaks are back to normal. When I was going to go and drop the car off at my girlfriends house since she was close and didn't want to take the risk of driving to mine, I noticed that when I turn my headlights on the battery light on the gauge cluster turns on too and when I turn them off it turns off too. Then as I am going down the road the gauge cluster lights actually turned on. ( Ever since I owned the car the gauge cluster lights never worked ) When I drive the check engine light well blink and when it blinks it makes a ticking noise as if I had the blinker on. Right now I have no idea what the **** is wrong with the car. The only solution I have come up with is that I hooked the fuse box up the wrong way.... Anyone had this happen before?

 

sounds like a ginormous ground issue. not sure why your brakes randomly spazzed out on you though

 

yep, sounds like you have a connection issue

 

I'm going to make sure I plugged everything in correctly in the fuse box....

 

theres 2 plugs that have the same number of pins and connector. 1 which is blue it should go to the fuse box and the other is a cream colored 1 it plugs into the other pack of wires. you might have theses 2 hooked up different. some other guy on here had the same problem. that fixed his.. i still have problems like this with mine. dnt no whats rong with it

Yes! Thank you that was my problem and now the only two things that arn't fixed are the blinkers and the stereo.. Anymore more suggestions?
