low clutch pedal???

hey everyone im workin on a 06 civic si and the clutch is really low it doesnt engage till the last inch of the pedal. has anyone heard of this problem? also do i need to drop the sub frame to pull the transmission?

thanks for the info guys. has anyone done a clutch on one of these i am a mechanic by trade i have just never done one of these are they a pretty straight forward job?

DO NOT adjust the pedal, removing the free play out of the system is bad news and your clutch master cylinder will fail quickly. The system is self adjusting and if you are having problems it's with the clutch disk. The proper way to adjust a clutch is with an adjustable slave cylinder, which there are none. My company had some produced a while back and sold out quickly, the place we had them made now requires 300 unit order and we just don't have the capital for that kind of investment. They will do custom but the unit cost is $445 and takes 6 weeks.
