hmm, a weird question to ask, but i just blew my tire on the rear passenger side, this is the second time, first time was on the sidewall (cheap tire) and the this time i blew it again on the sidewall (stock tire), just wondering if theres any relavence to this? i dont drive hard on the streets so i dont know if its just by luck its the same spot or if its something wrong with my car?

 

What air pressures do you run and how often do you check them?

 

coincidence maybe? I blew a stock re010 (rear right) when a truck kicked up a piece of concrete out of a pothole. I couldn't avoid the chunk of concrete without hitting oncoming traffic, getting rear ended, or side swiping the car next to me. Ripped a hole in the sidewall and kicked up into the fenderwell. No further damage. Ok, so to answer your question, I don't see how anything else could cause a blown tire other than not enough/too much air, or something on the road.

I blew out one of my S03s when I drove fast while one of the rears was flat (didnt know)

2 days later there was about 3 knots the size of my fist on the inner sidewall from the bands breaking...

Thats ok, they were bald anyways.
