car jerks when I stop at the stop light. If I turn off the a/c it seems to go away. it doesnt jerk while i accelerate just while at a complete stop. and also noticed that it jerks while in gear like drive or reverse. not much in neutral nor park. any suggestions?? thanks a bunch!

sounds like your transmission is taking a dump

 

Your idle control valve is not working. It adjusts air at idle to raise RPM so the engine runs smooth during stops. It only happens at load when you are stopped and in gear.
But you do need to go to the right forum for questions about your car.

 

if its the RPMs jerking, its definitely something to do with your idle. best thing to do, start with the easiest things or things that you have been putting off like a tune up.

if the car just feels jerky in general, you might have a broken/worn out motor mount. i've had this case.
