Hey there, new to forum, and noob to cars. here's what i got

93 Civic LX sedan 5 speed

I am however having a couple of issues.

#1 - the biggest issue, Idle problems, when i first start my car after it has been sitting it idles around 1500 rpms, i dont like that , after car warms up i idle anywhere from 200 - 500 rpms, if i hit my brakes, it drops, when i release the brake, it goes back up to around 500. AC drops it even lower.

#2 - Backoff in second gear. if im accelerating, first gear does fine, i hit second and it backs off and then starts accelerating like normal, it only does this in 2nd gear.

fist off it is normal for the car to idle at 1500 rpms when it starts up so dont worry about that.
second my mom as the same problem with the rpms droping to 200-500. It could be either a vacuum leak maybe but not completly sure. Also its a normal for the ac to make it drop bc it takes alot of power to make it run. Also it could also be something with the dizzy. Correct me if I am wrong.

i have heard that it may be a vacuum leak. however i dunno what a dizzy is

When I had ac in my civic, it auctually made the RPM's increase when i turned it on. But idleing at 300-500 is normal, and 1500 generally is when the engine is cooled down, like the 1st start of the day, but then again, i could be wrong, because my car is a hoe.

thanks, cant belive i couldnt figure that one out.

i replaced my spark plugs today, mine were long past due. didnt do anything tho.

the backoff isnt that big of a problem, its just annoying
