putting s b18 into my 98 civic. i went with innovative mounts and the drivers side motor mount, the metal bracket piece, doesnt line up with the bolt holes. if you line up the 2 lower holes the third top hole is short by about a half inch. has anyone ever had this problem? thanks

 

ive got the same mounts and had no issues maybe email the place u got them and exchange them.??

 

i would exchange them,
you may have gotten a fed up mount or the wrong one.

was the car in an accident, if so the frame could be slightly bent, making the otor mount be off a bit.

 

are you test fiting this mount and bracket by themselves or with the engine in place?

 

It does sound like you have the wrong mounts. As long as your car is not physically damaged and the weight of the engine is suspended by a jack the mounting holes and bolts should line up very easily. You shouldn't have to bend or reshape anything.

Three things are likely:
1. You ordered or received the wrong mount for your vehicle/engine combo
2. Your mount is bent or misshapen
3. You have the wrong mount on the wrong side of the motor??
