i know its a stupid question is there any ill effect of using a low guage wire on a amp that require 8 gauge?
ive done it before but im wonder if theres any ill effect in the long run?

considering your probably gonna have to trim the 4awg to fit into the 8awg opening, think of it as 4 gauge with room to spare...
