Default 4 gauge split to 8 gauge

Hi I have a alpine mrp-350 and kenwood 8405 4 channel amp and I was wondering if I ran 4 gauge wire to the trunk then split it to 8 gauge wire would this be fine? Also I plan on upgrading my pioneer shallow mount sub to there higher model which is 300 watts rms would my alpine amp work with this?

This is all you need (besides the power wires of course):

don't split cable

Get a disto block and a separate run to each amp

I think the OP has the right idea, just wrong wording.

Not sure peak power of both amps but I would say a 0 gauge to distribution block and then two 4 gauge to the amps.

Alpine MRP-M350 200W monoblock amp (2 x 20A fuses)

Kenwood KAC-8405 60W x 4 (60A fuse)

100A rating for both amps.

You can safely use a 4AWG power wire and run a distribution block into (2) 8AWG power wire like you intended.
