Is a D16 really any better than a D15??
We're going to use a Y8 head and about 10lbs of boost. Would that extra 0.1 liters of the D16 really give us THAT much more power over the D15?? The thing is we already have 3 D15 motors, but we do not have a D16 (long story...).
How much does a D16 block and crank usually go for?

the thing between the d16 and d15 is basically the fuel injection and intake. the .1 liter adds tourque and a bit of HP..... I wouldnt cause how many 1.5 L are there still out there?
well, honestly, the d16 is gonna put down more hp and torque than a d15 no matter how you look at it. as for how much, well that all depends on the condition of the motor. its not going to be that big of a difference, in fact, my personal experience is a d15 with the mpfi swap is better than a d16. the d16 may have .1 more liter but the d15 has higher compression.
my moto is, use what you got...

The D16 has a stronger crank and rods and can take boost or N20. The D15 has better engine geometry and will breathe better for its displacement than the D16. The JDM SOHC VTEC D15's and 16's basically put out the same peak HP.
Strangely the VX block has stronger rods and better R/S ratio than the other D15's.
