I am looking for the same thing but most shops only want to deal with their turbos!

 

You can purchase NEW CHRAs, but you will not find a remanufactured or "rebuilt" GT-R series turbocharger. This excludes the older ceramic Turbonetics cartridges.

Most places will sell only the whole unit because it will cost just as much as to get the cartridge only.

Those are OEM replacement CHRAs. Even if they repaired their OEM turbocharger, their guidelines limit their ability, just like any other builder / rebuilder.

 

Pretty much everyone I spoke with when replacing my turbo quoted me $1050, that was for a BB 67ho CHRA no housings.

 

^^^ That's about right. those are a little easier to come by.

 

Garrett themselves rebuilds them now(never used to) as long as your center section is in good shape. There are a few guys I found that will rebuild them themselves but I feel better If I get a origanal garrett.
