Default Critique my MIG welds

Greetings, Here are a few pics of some welds I did today. I am self taught and on my second spool of wire and just about to finish 2nd bottle. Lincoln 110v mig, I tried to clean the trailer metal as best I could, heat on the highest setting wire on 7. on the back side of the 3/16 angle iron there was color where I welded the vertical braces so I think I have enough heat. Just looking for some advice and tips to get better.

Thanks

On the right side of this weld I dont think I put enough weld on the bottom of the seem.

Not bad! Just keep practicing, technique looks alright. It looks like you're using a back and forth motion? Are you pushing or pulling?

A little bit of both, depending on my body position and veiw. I kind of work with whats easiest either push or pull.

scoloping? I have the heat all the way up, I am outside welding on trailer with a very heavy gauge extension cord. How would I get more heat?

Pulling will give you more penetration, otherwise you can bevel the metal and V the joints. 3/16" steel is pushing it for single pass 110v mig.

I tried a little more bevel, a little less wire speed, and preheating the joint with a propane torch. Better?

More wire feed speed = more amperage

I am **** outa luck on getting more amperage, the machine is 110v Lincoln pro-mig 140 and it is set on kill right now. Preheating the metal made the puddle flow allot better from what I could see and on the second batch I did all push welds.

Turn your wire feed back up, you'll get more heat out of it. Other than that you're lookin great.

Those look pretty decent for you experiance and what you are welding with and on. Don't be afraid to to throw a two pass cover of those welds just for **** and giggles.

On the underside I did 2 passes, I needed to lay down plate so I didn't want the top weld to be bulky, underside is thicker.
