Hey guys, I have a question regarding the button the gear lever. It is for the 2002 Accord with auto transmission. This problem only happened in the morning or every time I stopped the car for a very long time. I couldn't press the button on the gear lever even after hitting the brake. As if the button is stuck or something. I usually have to wait maybe 5-10 minutes to warm up the engine to be able to press the button & move the gear lever.

This problem only happened in the morning or every time I stopped the car for a very long time, that's all.

What could be the problem? Any advice or input would be really appreciated.

can you hear the solenoid click when you hit the brake pedal? cold? warm?
