my car shakes alot and it wastes a lot of gas.....i have a d15 non v-tec ingine and it shouldnt waste thet much gas.....anyone help me out!! thanks =D

 

what kind of car? original motor? swap? mileage of motor?
do you have a check engine light?
whats your mpg averaging?

 

ITS A 94 HB EG....AND HAD ORIGINAL MOTOR...THE MILEAGE IS ABOUT 150...NO CHECK INGINE LIGHT.......IDK THE MPG

 

any broken motor mounts? automatic? manual?

and how do you know its wasting gas if you're not keeping track of the mileage?
also, your driving habits will affect your mileage the most.

Shaking, check alignment. If we don't know your actual mathematical miles driven per 'gallon' or litres used per 100 kilometers, it could just be the stock fuel gauge being inaccurate as always.

 

Start by checking/replacing the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor.

 

TALKING ABOUT SPELLING? RIGHT....GUD IS REALLY ((.GOOD.))!! AND I TYPE CAPS OR HOWEVER I FEEL LIKE TYPING ;D

 

balance your tires....
check for timing issues and a/f ratio's.

 

caps only is for fgts. this is your first issue. Do you know if its misfiring? do you know how to do math? fill up tank and drive miles. use the fkn odometer. We cant help you with no information. Shakes and uses fuel, ya ok thats so much info rofl. When did u last do oil change? how much do you drive a day? is the car stock? etc.

 

sell it and get yourself a camry. :D

well i had this happen to me, it was idleing at a little over 100rpms, (and i dont mean 1000) it was shaking like hell,(timing was good) and my mpgs sucked ***. so i swapped the engine, the took the old one apart.... it had bad rings, and the head was cracked, but thats what happens when you get a d15b2 for $100, id say it was worth the money cuz it lasted 2 months, 3k mils

 

i have a 94 eg and i also had the same problem. i found out my engine was running on two cylinders, and had that fixed right away. mechanics told me my engine timing was off which made me burn extra gas.

 

does ur car smell like gas ?

 

how do people not notice things like bad rings or a cracked head or running on 2 pistons? omfg srsly. Blowing smoke and shaking like **** doesnt make lights go off in ur head?

 

I had this issue before. just a great thing to put on your carb engine, "enging support" it helps you get no shaking feeling. works 100% also check the timing if its advance or delay, it consumes more gas, its like having a 1.8L engine for a d15 non Vtec engine. :D good luck!
