If your car had the d16y8 in it then it already has vtec, you just have to wire in the knock sensor and everything...

concurrence with the follower. If it is an si model, should be good for vtec. If your ls/vtec is a gsr, you will need to add wires for your iabs.

that picture is for an obd1 vehicle, the vehicle being worked on is an obd2... it would be better for the car to be converted to obd1 though... the IAB's will have to be hooked up if it is a Gsr head, but that is just the butterflies, if it is a B16 head then you should be pretty much golden...

you really shouldn't have to wire anything up besides the IAB's?? if you are putting a chipped p28 in it and you have the obd2 - obd1 plug then it will just plug right up and the vtec is already wired so you don't have to worry bout anything else...

If its a P28 ECU, wiring the IABs are usless, unless either:
a. The ecu was programmed to a P72 for the IABS
b. you weld the rod linkage for the IABS open and run um like that.

Yeah I wasn't thinking on it being a chipped p28... You won't have to wire anything in, but you could have the p72 program put on the p28 chip... and yes the obd2 plugs will plug right into an obd2 - obd1 adapter without splicing...
