Good way to drill hole to install ferio wing
Well I finally had a chance to get OEM ferio wing and I need to install it pretty soon.
What's a good way of drilling a hole in the trunk? What's a good tool to use? I have drill bits, dremmel, etc but I don't know what's a good one to use.
I want a fine hole that will not damage/crack the paint and hopefully will not start to rust out.
Any tips on the installation of the wing? I can't find it in search.

Tape the painted surface, and drill directly through the middle of the tape. This helps keep the paint from chipping.
Start off with a smaller pilot hole, and verify position before drilling the larger hole.
To avoid rust, it either needs to be completely sealed (not likely) or any exposed bare metal needs to be painted/sealed. When I drilled a door to install a passenger side mirror (car came without one at all) I used a little touchup paint and a brush to just go around the holes to prevent rust. 16 years later, still no rust. Primer would work fine, as would clearcoat, you just need to keep water off the bare metal edge.
