Buying a MDX
I'm thinking bout buying a older model of the MDX. But heard that some of the could cause problems like tranny leak, oil leak, etc. i was wondering are they reliable? my uncle got one and he love the shet out of it and it has no problem. thanks HT your the best
MDX issues, well, you could go out and check consumer reports, and vehicle reviews first, such as Car & Driver, Motor Trend, etc.
I love my RDX, but the mileage on it isn't as good; I'm only getting 20/18.

It's not the tranny leak you have to worry about, it's the tranny slip. I wouldn't expect more than 75K miles on each tranny I'd put in there, although MANY have had theirs replaced (under warranty) at 35-50 due to signs of slippage (Incorrect gear ratio).
I'd stay away from the 2001 and 2002 models. In 03, they did revamp the tranny and suspension, so it did fare a little better, but i'd go with 04+
I also wouldn't use the 3rd row if i could avoid it. That leaves the rear most passengers, usually small children, in the crumple zone. Bad idea.
