So I have a 2000 civic and a blown head gasket so i am considering putting in another engine. I was looking at shops in the local section for southern California and had been in contact with Gspot automotive. When I first talked to them about putting in the h22 I found what I believed to be a fair price and he said emissions would be no problem. I called just now and he said there was no way it would pass emissions. However, I don't understand why. His response was, "it's an h22 bro." I would think that the h22 would burn clean and as long as i got a year 2000 engine I don't see why not...but I am no expert. I live in SoCal btw

I have tried to search this but have found few results and most conflict. I figured this would be a good place to ask as I come here constantly to read but have never taken the time to register. Thanks for reading.

the motor has to be the same year or newer than the car its going into and it will pass emissions after its been bar'd
