ok so i picked up a garrett turbo looks like it was once a diesel turbo has a spot for an internal wastegate but is still cast over from the factory.

1.05 exhaust side twin scroll?? t4 housing
.65 cold side

only oil cooled no water

i searched the serial number thats on it and came up with nothing


i guess wondering if anyone can judge the power capabilities of this thing just based on this limited info.

going on a 2.0 sleeved gsr btw if i keep it. i know previous guy did 420ish at 16 psi. just no clue how much more it has in it

 

Previous guy? You mean previous owner?

The only way to get an idea for that turbo's capabilities is to measure the compressor and exhaust wheels - both the small and large sides of each. Only then will we be able to give you an idea.

Otherwise it could be something odd like a t04b S-trim with a Q-trim exhaust, which would spool super slow and only have ~350whp to give at max.

 

and i wanna say its like 56mm?? intake and 63mm exhaust if i measured correctly
