Completely convert my EF to obd1..headlights-tails??
Hey Guys...i have a 89 civic hatch and i just wanna convert the whole car to obd1 from the headlights to the tail lights... I have a b18b1 in the car right now with the obd1 jumper harness going to my p75 ecu...I am just looking to do something different with my setup...i have some extra time and money i wanna kill..My question to you all is what kind of work will be involved in this setup.... so far i can thing of
1)obd1 ecu
2)obd1 engine and dash harness
3)obd1 chassis harness..
is there anything special i will have to do with dizzy or injectors or w/e??? I am running a resistor box now and i think i will be able to bypass that if i do this conversion...LMK your thoughts and suggestions...thanks HT

If you do the full underdash harness you will either have to rewire your EF cluster or run an EG/DC cluster depending on which you get the obd1 harness out of. Also I don't believe the heater controls or the tailights will be the same connectors as well as maybe the fuel pump? You will have to run a EG main relay etc.
You will not need the resistor box if you have obd1 injectors. If you keep the obd0 injectors you will have to wire in the resistor box into the dead end plug on the driver side shock tower.
Personally I would just keep it converted using the obd1 jumper harness unless there is another purpose for you doing this other than wasting time and money on something that really isn't going to be needed or do anything different than what your jumper harness is doing now. Obviously this is my opinion and it's your car, you can do whatever you'd like to it, just giving me .02. Good luck with it!

well the stock obd0 wiring is really cut up and there are wires loose and open..its just a big mess..so i figured while i do my wire tuck i would change the wiring???how would you guys go about changing everything...???dash harness, injectors, dizzy, engine harness???
this is very easy done this many times the only things you need to wire up is the cluster but still use the cable speed sensor, the head lights and tailight clips, and the white clip that is on the ignition key tumbler housing, obd1 injectors and dizzy or change the clips on both
way more headach then it is worth i would find a mint obd0 harness and swap it in and keep the jumper harness's so simple and easy.

As far as your fuel injectors go, you don't need the injector box now. Install a set of OBD1 or OBD2 injectors and clips and delete the resistor box.
You will not have to do anything special with any engine components since you will be using the complete OBD1 engine harness wired directly to the OBD1 ECU. It will be just like stock.

good excuse to get ZC headlights, since EG's have one bulb with a bright/lower setting and ef's have two bulbs, one for brights one for dims.
