Default another stupid incident

damn, this never happen before. i changed my oil this past saturday. i unscrewed the oil filter and saw no gasket seal. i was like wtf?? so i went back under there and put my hand through the area(not thoroughly)and found nothing. i decided it must've melt or flew off somewhere. so i jacked the car down and started the car,, freak no, there was a splattered whining sound coming from the engine! thank God i did not have the radio on. it was turned on for 5-8 secs. fresh oil was covered everywhere on the bottom engine compartment.

what i like to know is...could there be any damage to the engine? hoses, electrical, etc...
i do plan to have my outer body and engine detail. i can still smell oil til today.

sounds to me like the gasket was stuck on the block and you forgot to completely remove it. I would go through and just kind of clean everything up with an old rag and maybe some degreaser.

You should be fine as long as it didn't drench your fuse box or distributor or something, which I doubt it did!!
