Default Free Dent removal tactics (Dry Ice and Dust spray)

Okay, I have seen videos on youtube lol..And attempted and FAIL.

Remove dents by heating dents/dings with a hair dryer and use a dust spray (upside down)to freeze the panel. The thing here is heat and cold makes metal expand (correct me if i'm wrong).

Dry ice method. Same method as the previous but use dry ice instead of the dust spray.
Never try this method yet.

Conclusion: I gave up and should let it to the pro's...but have anybody attempt these method before and accomplish.

the heat expands the metal (blow dryer = very little expansion) and the cold makes the metal shrink quickly theoritically making the dent pop out to its original shape.

tried it and it didnt work but the dents i messed with are pretty nasty/deep ones. but my .02 is that its a gimmick to get people to buy dust spray... lol

I heard it works and it doesn't the metal shrinks under the cold dry ice and pops it out but what happens to metal when you bend it over and over again ? it gets weak so when you hit the heat that dent will appear again and again and again .

you are actually supossed to use a torch and r34 from discount, spray the freeezing gas on the dent(freeeeeezing) and then flash it across fast and moderatly and the dent will pop, but it is complicated, you cant take to long or then your looking at fuking up the paint and you cant be too hot/ hold torch for too long or you will def mess up your paint.......IMO it does work but the chances of it working for ppl are like 35/100 but if you get the hang of it you should be good to go.

I just use a block of wood or something else for the dolly and a hammer. I push the dent out with the dolly and then tap around the dent with a hammer in order to relieve the stress. The dent won't come out perfectly, but if you get rid of the high spot around it,then a little filler can fix the lows. My car came out pretty well, there's a thread in the Paint and Body section.

Thanks folks...N...good info.
Probably the dust spray and dry ice is 4 people to just buy the items...lol
I'll leave it 2 the pro because my paint looks like ****..fading. I just wanted to try if it really work because it looks really cool. For the other people who want to try it...leave it 2 the pro's..unless u want to follow in my shoes.

(If someone tell U **** stinks..and u dont believe them smell it for yourself) made it up
