f22a to f22b swap question(s)
Hi, I have a 1995 honda accord 5spd non-vtec 2.2 motor i believe it's the f22a.
Now i wanted to throw in the f22b (vtec) motor, but have some questions before i start the task
1) I do know that i will need a vtec ecu and wire harness, but i was wondering if there are any empty pins on my stock harness that i can pin wires into to use the new vtec ecu?
2) Can I use my f22a tranny?
3) Any other things i need to know or get before i start this task?
Thank You

2) yes the trans will bolt up fine.
3)You should have a F22B2 (Its stamped on the front of the block next to the exhaust manifold) in there now unless someone swapped it previously. It should be very straight forward, you will need to add two wires to the harness, for the VTEC solenoid, and the VTEC pressure switch, and a groung form the solenoid.
