Tell me more about an OEM base RSX. I believe this is the newer RSX version. It had factory 16" split six spoke wheels. Not sure if it is an auto or manual. Probably auto.
Are these good cars? What is the performance like? How about weight? Anything to be concerned about?

RSX Base Models have K20A3 motors (lower compression than the K20A2 "Type-S" motor), They are 5-Speed Manual and 4-Speed Auto, 160HP, Cloth Seats...those are the basics.
I have a 5spd Base RSX. It's a simple, fuel efficient slow car. The engine is more powerful than the engine in the Civic. Bottom line is, if your looking for performance, then don't get this car. If you looking for a simple and cheap DD then get the RSX.
Same engine as the EP3.
it's a Base Model.... what more is there to say? If you get a base do like most all the base owners and just concentrate on looks cause the speed just isn't there. If you want speed go with the rsx-S

lol screw you type-s owners...I paid more for my base than half the type-s for sale...but tien suspension, tinted windows, lowered, touch screen flip out cd player, and low mileage...I couldn't resist...sure I lack the power but with the help of a turbo kit and a good tune, i'll be flying by them.
turbo kit and a good tune? you mean turbo kit and greddy e-manage or FMU? There is no tuning programs for the automatic like k-pro or EMS.
I'm not dissing you nor the base model. Just not something I would personally buy I'm sorry. If I have offended you I apologize. Hell I just have an RSX shell now lol.

I just really don't see how boosting a base with a turbo kit, whether you get something like a greddy kit to something like a full race kit wouldn't be a good thing...
-lower compression motor and turbo's have much more potential for power than something like a supercharger, especially when you're shooting for max HP...
-i'd rather have a turbo k20a3 than a supercharged k24 or anything like that...I mean sure, everyone says the internals aren't strong but think about it...it's a k-series motor...it's gonna be strong even if it's the one of the lower HP engines in the k-series line up...
-I was planning on going with a greddy kit for 3200, a clutch, bigger injectors, better fuel pump, boost controller, turbo timer, and gauges...I think that would be nice regardless of whether i'm making 280-320 WHP or not...it would still be quick and look nice as hell...it's not like i'm looking to make it a full out drag car, nor am I making it the best thing out there...I just wanna make it a nice, clean, quick, and reliable car...prolly even drive around on 8psi casually and turn it up higher now and then on the weekends...just so it's reliable on stock internals...
-and somebody please provide me with proof that the k20a2's are stronger...I saw a guy made 500WHP on stock k20a2 internals and I just don't see how the a3 could be much worse...

I was told the hp for the base model was 155hp.
What are the performance numbers like for a stock RSX auto? How about the numbers for a manual tranny?
Does the RSX weigh more or less than a 99-00 Si? How would they compare performance wise?

Don't get a Base Model...take it from somebody who just bought one....especially automatic...that's just asking for poor performance. You are better off getting an Integra GSR than a Base RSX. Go Type-S or get something else.
