This happened to my old CRX and a friend of mine's EF Civic. The main relay was the culprit. Just replace it and you'll be fine.

Is the CEL ON?

When the engine won't start:

1) Listen for whether the fuel pump primes for two seconds when the key is turned to ON(II).

2) Check for spark at the plugs.

Did you actually check for spark at the plugs when the engine wouldn't start?

This used to happen to my old Civic, and I don't know why this worked, but I changed the fuel filter and the problem went away.

No offense or anything, but these are different symptoms than the last thread you posted in, yet you said the same thing is the problem.

EDIT: this was before your ninja edit. lol

Did you try the fuel filter?

It's worth replacing, and when I did, my same exact problem went away. I don't know how it worked, but it did.

It's only $14 or so and your gas mileage may improve depending on how bad the old one is.
