DA rear disk brakes on EF, e-brake adjustment?
I had done a full DA front and rear disk brake conversion and used the stock DA e-brake cables. it took a little of adjustment to make it fit, as it is longer than EF/crx cable. even though i got the ends lined up and fits, the passenger side cable sits out further than the driver side. basically with everything bolted up, the passenger side sits at a angle forward, so it looks like the passenger side rear brakes are getting a preload where the driver side is sitting normally. i tried spinning the rear wheels, and the driver was spinning fine while the passenger had some drag to it.
You need to adjust the ebrake lever inside under the ebrake console. If that metal peice is even then you have the same pull on both cables. The way you route the cable won't make the cable pull. You may have a sticky cable if its a used cable.
Also you could have a sticky caliper
Also you could have a sticky caliper
yeah, the adjuster behind the ebrake is adjusted, but the passenger side pulls longer than the driver side, so the metal piece is sitting at an angle. true that it could be a sticky cable or caliper. i'll try driving it around for a bit once i get the car running first. thanks.
