Sway Bar Silicone Grease?
Hi,
My sway bar is making noise maybe I did not put enough of this grease.
Where can I get this grease so I can lube the sway bar or any kind of grease will do?
The supplied grease was a clear and sticky.
Thanks!

I have urethane bushings so I just put wheel bearing grease and lube them every six months or so. You can get the silicone grease from your local Honda or Acura dealership. Just ask the parts counter for silicone grease used on suspension bushings.
Just don't use a hydrocarbon based grease on your rubber bushings as it will decay and rot the bushings.

I went to my local honda dealership and got this.
They said it will work.

It contains. Hydrotreated Heavy Petroleum Distillates, Solvent Refined Heavy Petroleum.
What do you guys think?
How do I know I have Urethane Bushings?
I got my Sway Bar from Suspension Techniques and its Red in Color.

Probably the same as the Coastal Multipurpose grease I bought for about $2 for a tub that size. Hope you didn't pay too much for it.
I have poly bushings on my ITR sway bar, but I installed them with Energy Suspension's greasable bushing brackets. I keep a grease gun loaded with MP grease, and just shoot some in there every so often if they start making noise.

Sil Glide is good too...used for lubing caliper slide pins in calipers. A little bit thicker than Honda Urea grease and works great on suspension bushings
ACE hardware has silicone grease. The grease you bought might be lithium. Silglyde silicone caliper grease often comes in convenient $1 small pouches. I got one at Pep Boys.
+ one billion on Sil-Gylde. You can purchase it from your local Napa parts store in a squeezable tube for pretty cheap. The stuff lubricates extremely well and does not wash away because it is a thicker formula than most silicone lubricants. I've used it for tons of bushings installs, fuel injector o-ring installs, and brake caliper installs and have never been let down by the stuff. By far the best stuff I've used and I've used many silicone lubricants in my life.

Some aftermarket sway bar bushings have teflon inserts already built in to prevent squeaking, but most do not.
You should normally use a synthetic or silicone grease. You just have to make sure that whatever grease you use is rubber friendly. Another option is to wrap the bar in teflon tape, as it's less messy than grease, and basically does the same thing.
I have also used normal white lithium grease on mine when I noticed they were squeaking a bit. It's all I had on hand at the time, but if I had the option, I'd go with teflon tape.
