95 Del Sol S D15b7 Boggin, Backfiring. Please Help
So I might seem like a newbie on here, But I've frequented some other forums and have been working on owning Honda's/Acura's for the past 6 years. I have a problem that I need help with, BUT I only want help from people who know what there talking about and have experience with the same issue before. So Thank you in advance and please read below.
I recently put a SOHC D15B7 Non vtec in my del sol. Here are the problems.
#1 Its throwing a code but when I jump the service connecter it wont flash the codes for me.
#2 The car idles good, (high but good), Revs fine. Then when I go to drive it as soon as the clutch is out it bogs really bad and backfires. Like it will rev up fine with no problem until you try to drive it. Then it will bog til about 3-4K, Then accelerate fine after that.
Please give me your honest opinions, I've checked the timing it looks great, Plugs look fine, there are no vacuum leaks, and it looks like the PCV was recently changed on the swap.

#1 is being caused by the blown 7.5 AMP backup fuse in your under hood fuse box that I PM'd you about. That's why your clock doesn't remember the time and your radio resets itself. Once you replace the fuse you should be able to pull the code after the next time it comes on.
#2 i'd check the rotor and cap for excessive wear.

I forgot to mention, because I wasn't even thinking about it... before you check the cap/rotor, check the code the ECU is throwing, once you get that backup fuse replaced. It's quite possible and likely that the code is pointing to the source of problem #2.
