I cant think of any differences between a b16 tranny and a ctr tranny. Any body have any insight to this?

I have a b16 tranny that needs syncros and I also have a ctr tranny with a quaife lsd that also needs syncros. Im only going to rebuild one and which ever that is I will use the lsd in. I was just wondering if thee was any advantage one has over the other.

well not from the factory but I have a quaife lsd

 

well i had a friend how had an non-lsd tranny and he try to convert it to lsd, but it didnt work b/c the gears were off buy little bit. what if u try putting type r gears?

 

only difference is the final drive. Im running large amounts of boost and the even lower gear would hurt me I think. The quaife is in my tranny now so I know it works in there. plus the b16 had a quaife but i sold it since I didnt need 2
