I got a B16A in my 92 si

My swap came with the a/c pump, motor bracket and belt

I was going to just buy the two pressure lines and new seals but as I started looking around I heard some bad news...don't know if it's true

I was told that the pump wont work (my hatch is R-12)

Someone also told me that JDM uses R-12 still...so I'm confused

I KNOW the B18 motors have a totally different bracket and pump but this is B16 and came in my car (in Japan)

i was told to run a sohc vtec obd1 pump with a USDM del sol vtec bracket (I've known this for years but thought it applied to B18's only)

I have the JDM bracket and pump and I don't see the problem...

PLEASE anyone know the scoop? I would rather not pay for another pump/bracket on top of what I already need to buy

Any sound advise would be appreciated

 

I found out from hmotorsonline that the JDM pump is different (its like a B18) from the dohc del sol. del sol and the original d16z6 is the same so I need to spend more money (cuz I gve my d16z6 pump away years ago) and get the pump/lines that I should still have.

 

what's the p/n # on the ac belt that is needed when using a aohc ac compressor on a B16?
