This rare car was only made for 2 years (90-91).
$1300 as of August 18th, 2009
***Another update, will take partial trade for mig welder, engine hoist, d15z1 swap, or d16y5 swap********
1990 Honda Civic Ex
Automatic
17x,xxx miles
Keyless Entry and Remote Start
Power Windows
Power Locks
Power Mirrors
Power Steering
Cruise Control
A/c (needs to be recharged)
Heat works great
Block Heater Plug installed (I never used it)
Lots of recent work done to it within the last year.
(when I say newer I'm referring to previous owner)
Good stuff first:
Engine
New Headgasket
New Intake manifold gasket
New Exhaust manifold gasket
New valve stem seals
New spark plug hole seals (uppers and lowers)
New valve cover gasket set
New Timing Belt
New Water Pump
New Thermostat
Valves were reseated
Valve cover was repainted (old paint was just a few flakes left)
Newer Oxygen Sensor
Newer Distributor
Newer Oil Pan Gasket
Newer PCV (valve)
Newer Fuel Pump!!!
Recent Oil Change
Recent Coolant flush/change
Timing was recently done
Drivetrain:
New Driver Side Axle
Transmission Fluid changed (Honda Tranny Fluid Used)
Brakes and Suspension:
New Brake Master Cylinder
Rt4wd front brakes with lots of life (the driver side EX brake caliper and wheel bearing were bad so I just replaced the front brakes with rt4wd, which is same as 88-91 Civic Dx/Lx models)
Recent Brake Flush
New Driver side outter tie rod
Prevoius owner checked rear brakes and stated they were good (drums)
Crx HF wheels with good tires (hf wheels are light weight so should pull in better MPG!!)
Exterior:
New Catback Exhaust (OEM style)
Stock Paint
Looks to have had no accidents
Interior:
Pioneer CD player
Fairly clean (7/10)
The BAD:
*Rear passenger window does not up. I have unplugged it so it does not get stuck in that position.
*There is a click from the front left when you stop and go. I believe it is the spring or strut (cheap find at the junkyard)
*Rust. Nothing to severe. Kinda matches the paint so you can't notice too bad :biggthump
*Could use an alignment (not a must, just I recommend since I have not had time to have it done)
*Keyless Entry and Remote starter is a little finicky and you generally have to be in viewing distance in order for it to work. But it works and will come with a spare remote.
*Alternator, A/c, Power Steering belts don't need to be but could be replaced. (I forgot to replace them when I did the timing belt)
*Center Vent is broken, but previously owner glued it together and it has held up fine.
*E-brake doesn't work.
*Buyer will need to get new plates since these are my Veterans Plates.
My feedback:
Car drives great with little issues. I purchased in October 2008 and used it everyday since. Transmission shifts good, its my first time owning an Automatic and never had issues. I work 30 miles away, and go to school 15ish miles away and I never had troubles anywhere I went.
Just the labor cost of the fuel pump and headgasket itself would have costed more than the car is worth. Nothing was half-assed on this. I can't stress enough of its reliability.
I am not interested in straight Trades of any type.

Very reliable 1990 Honda Civic Ex Automatic, needs basically nothing lots of recent work (so no need to throw money into this car, buy and drive)
$1700 As is
$1300 and you bring your own wheels, no deck and no rear speakers
$???? accepting partial trades for engine hoist, mig welder, Civic rt4wd stuff, d16y5 swap, d15z1 swap. Nothing else.

Also, I did find some OEM (style?) floormats same color as interior so those are in the car. Ugly rubber one has been removed

Price will be adjusted this weekend if I can get some different all-seasons tires on, replacement of pioneer speakers with OEM (bad), and fixing the clunk from the left front, and fixing the rear window.
Thanks,
Shane
