A GLi.. Wow..
Why does Europe and Australia get all the cool cars while we're here stuck BS cars with crazy emission standards that are running on fuel that Jeremy Clarkson calls "Limp wristed Fairy fluid" for fuel...?
*Depressed*

'cause if we continued running cars that didn't have to run "limp-wristed fairy fluid", we'd never see our sky again. I think we do OK despite emissions control. Now, the cars of the 70s w/emissions controls...that's a another story.
To the OP, that is a sweet looking ride. Wishing we drove on the same side of the road as you...if we did, I'd be in Japan right now at the auctions importing containers.
Welcome!

The 100 octane fuel rating in Japan and other overseas countries is derived from a different formula than the one we use in the USA, and really the 100 octane in Japan and many other countries is the equivalent of 95 octane using our formula. We don't have 95 octane pump gas (that I know of), but we have 93, and that 2 points of octane rating isn't that much. That being said, I don't know how you could say that their fuel is as much better than ours as you imply.
So do you guys like have no dirt over there in Australia?
and thanx for all the reply's
