Where are the markings on a engine block located to determine what kind of engine you have ? I have a 93 Del Sol, and my VIN tells me that I Should have a D16Y7, or D16Y8, or a D16Z6. My title says a 93 Del Sol S, but the VIN says it should be a 93SI, PLEASE HELP !

 

look midways down the block where the trans meets the block. Theres a little square that has the engine code and serial number on it

 

how can you read a vin but you cant find the block stamp
