im assembling a 95 gsr head on my b16a swap and im running into problems. i was missing a few of the cam holder bolts so i ordered them from honda. theyre the large ones in the middle part of the rails. well the old ones tighten and torque down fine but the 5 new ones dont snug up at all and im def not gonna crank on em and risk snapping one. is there a difference between b18c and b16a cam bolts? they thread in fine and look the same but dont tighten up. part numbers are the same but these things def arent the right ones...what am i missing here?

 

I just swapped GSR cams into my b16 and I used all my b16 bolts for the cam holders, everything snugged up just fine, they hold my cams down and everything. Maybe they gave you the wrong ones?

 

you just swapped cams. the head is still b16. i have an entire gsr head. and since theres no close acura dealer here in indiana i had to go to honda for the bolts. the original bolts work fine just these new ones dont which makes me think theyre diff. theres only 2 diff bolts i could get and its obviously not the 10 mm ones

 

Ohh my bad, I read that wrong, I read you swapped out the cams not the head my fault... Bump for answers for this guy!

im overlooking something cause both acura and honda part numbers are same and the bolt size is too.. 8x50 so its like wtf!

 

old one on left new honda bolt on right... they look identical but the new one wont tighten down!
