So i have a built boosted gsr making 389whp at 319ft lbs of torque. Its been running great, i just took a trip out to PA which was lik a 6 hour drive there and back for me. The car ran great except when i was driving on the way back i noticed that if i got heavily into boost, or almost at full boost the car started to shake pretty damn bad. Almost felt like i had an axle going or like all four of my wheels were unbalanced it was so bad...

I dont know what the problem is. Like i said its only when i put a large load on the motor...close to full- or full boost. I have stock mounts however they are filled with inserts, they have been fine for a year now but im thinking maby on just finally broke??

I checked all my axles were good, lugs where tight, wheels were balanced i dont know what els it could be. Its got to be my mounts.

My motor runs find with no knocking or ticking, bearing clearances are good and i have great oil pressure. So i know its not my thrust bearings fro my crank or anything like that...

PLEASE HELP!@ ( Again this ONLY happens/shakes while the car is being put under a large load)

I don't know if this helps but one time I got new rims and tires and the guy I took it too to balance them forgot to put back in the wheel spacers. When I was on the freeway my car started shaking violently. I pulled over and called him to bring them to me when I realized they weren't on there and everything was fine after that. Almost anything can cause vibration though G/L

 

I can stage the motor sitting still puting a load on it building boost and the car will not shake. its only when i put a heavy load on it while driving nomatter what the speed.

 

Anybody ever have this problem??

 

Bump, Broken motor mount?? Controll arm bushing?? What do you guys think? Thats about THE ONLY two things i hanvt checked yet.

 

Sounds like a motor mount to me. Def check them out, Hasport mounts are a win in my book.

 

What is the easyest way of checking adn identifying a bad mount? rev the motor and watch it to see where it tourqes? Or do i have to take each one of and inspect? cuz that would suck...I looked the mounts over quickly when i had the car on a lift and i didnt really see anyhting that cought my eye...idk.

 

Bump im leaning more towards my differential now...I think that is the issue. Anybody ever have this problem?

i have the same problem with my b20vtec i dont know if its the mounts the whole dash and door shakes crazy
