Obviously...OEM?
EBC claims lower than stock dust on their Red stuff pads. Not sure how true that is.
Ceramic pads tend to dust less. Go to Autozone and pick up some ceramic pads.

If anyone is getting fade from stock pads on the street... STOP driving like an *******.
and obey the laws, you might live longer and more important,,, you won't kill anyone.
No need for more pad for just for street use.
Hell I've tracked with stock pads and have been pretty happy... But my 10 yrs experience plays a role

sorry to thread jack
I'm looking into changing my pads. I'm probably gonna go 2 or 3 track days this season but mostly daily drive so I don't want a dedicated track pad. The track im going to is pretty harsh on brakes. how are oem pads on the track? would hawk hps be a better choice? Any other suggestions?

ehh, the only care of most enthusiasts regarding dust is what it does to the wheels. meaning, accumulated dust. while it is true that the color is indeed different, there are many characteristics of the ceramic pad dust that makes it not adhere to wheels, so, technically, while it might dust in a similar volume as a comparable metallic pad, the amount of dust on the wheels is less. hence, "low dust".
OP, i like the performance of OE pads but honestly, they have been trumped by ceramic pads if you are looking for similar braking potential AND better aethetics regarding wheel dust.
hawk PC are the ticket.
The OEM ITR pads are a good compromise of everything--kind of like a good all-season tire. OK at most stuff but superior at nothing (except low noise and low dust).
With that said, why not buy 2 sets of pads/rotors? One for the track and one for daily driving? It doesn't take that long to change pads/rotors, especially if you are only doing so 1-2 times a year.
I like OEM pads on a daily driver because they are quiet (squeak free) and they don't dust. Just about every aftermarket 'performance' pad I have had tend to have a drawback associated with them in terms of daily driving.

Hawk makes a lot of street compounds and track compounds, but I've never heard of a "PC" pad from Hawk.
I'm not aware of any brake pad that is better than stock at everything. I'm not saying that the stock pad is the best one out there - heck, I use the HP+ for the front of my own ITR, for street and track use - but the stock pad is pretty good also (and that's what I use on the rear). For combined street and track use, you can do a lot worse. The stock pads are also less than half the cost of good aftermarket pads like the Hawk HP+ ($43 discounted for the stockers, $93 or more for HP+).

I recently updated the prices for HP+ fronts in this topic, so feel free to use them for comparison. (I get tired of hearing claims about great prices via "hookups" that aren't as good as you can find doing a decent web search.)

ITR front fitment - HB143Z.680
i too am not aware of a pad that is better than the stock pad at everything, but the hawk PC is atleast as good for daily driving, without question better when it comes to dust issues, and for the limited amount of track use his car will see, i can't see the hawk PC being enough of a liability in that venue to discount the every day benefits of less dust on the wheels and equal (or better) daily driving performance. i don't know for sure because i've never taken it on a track, but i honestly would have no problem if i were in his situation getting an extra set of rotors and pads specfically for the track, even if the OE or PC pads are adequate.
you are absolutely correct in that cost is a plus for the stockers, for sure. that is a great price. hawk PC will run you between 72-82 a set for the ITR fitment.
Sounds like OEMs are the answer for the OP. I use them for daily duties...love em. Great bite, quiet, low dust.
For my track pads, I turn to Marc (BlueR) for something a little more aggressive.

I run OEM on the street. I need to figure out what I'll do for track stuff with the ITR, but probably hawk blues up front and hawk black in back, but then I have to wash the car, so maybe not.

I looked into the hawk HP+. Looks like a good pad for this application. Hows the dusting of these pads. I don't care about noise but I don't want to wash my wheels daily
That would be a suitable pad for what you are asking. The dust is just something you will have to deal with. Its nothing a dry cloth cant take care of though.
I agree. The HP+ produces a fair amount of reddish-colored dust, but it washes off easily enough. You don't have to wash it off immediately like you do with some track-only brake pads (such as the notoriously corrosive Hawk Blue 9012 compound).
